Director Nara Canal

Nara Canal is one of the largest canal system in Pakistan in terms of length and command area. The command area of Nara is spread over 8 districts. therefore, it requires administrative measures  to ensure the availability of water at the tail ends.

The current management is taking serious efforts for the improvement of canal system, availability of water at the tail ends, and equitable water distribution. The mega infrastructure scheme like, replacement of head Jamrao structure, construction of Makhi complex, head regulator of Mithro and Khipro canal, lining of west branches, lining of Girhore minor, Darello minor, Chore Wah, and Noor Wah are bening executed effective efforts have been taken to increase of Abiana, assessment and recovery for sustainability of AWB are taken. Also the management is ensuring the participation of Farmers organization, Fo’S for betterment of the system. Although we are at the initial stages but hope that we will achieve the objective and goals of the irrigation reforms.
